The Goddard Simulation Teams played a vital role in helping the tracking
stations to prepare for missions. Specially equipped Super Constellations
carried equipment and radio transmitters and transponders to simulate an Apollo
spacecraft for the tracking station. See Preparing
for Apollo for some of the background.
The Goddard Sim teams were frequent visitors to
the skies over Honeysuckle.
