“The Univac 642B Command Computer on the
Left, next is the Expanded Memory Unit (EMU), which dates the photo,
next is the Univac 642B Telemetry Computer and on the far right
is the tape handler for the Telemetry Computer.
The tape handler for the Command Computer is out of the photo on the left.
The Expanded Memory Unit was installed in 1967. A Univac
Engineer (whose
name I can’t remember) was sent out to give us four day’s training
on this
piece of equipment.”
