Apollo 11 Re-entry comms through ARIA


Here’s some audio of the Apollo 11 Re-entry, recorded at Honeysuckle Creek from Net 1 and Net 2. The Capcom is Ron Evans.

ARIA provides crucial coverage during the period immediately after the end of blackout, but before the drogue and parachutes are deployed.

As Apollo 11 nears the recovery area, other communications capabilities become possible.
